I've installed the software, taken care of the certificates, added Adobe catalogs and approved a test using a Flash Player update. Now I'm waiting for the update to happen on my test computer.
What I really need is a better understanding of the operational side of the update process. How does it work? Am I correct that these updates won't show in the WSUS user console? Does WSUS refer the client to WPP to get the updates? Do the clients contact WPP directly without any involvement from WSUS? How does it all work? Is there a document that explains this process?

Comments: I changed the settings to "always make this update visible in the WSUS console". However, I do not see the test updates for Adobe Reader and Flash Player in WSUS. I even exited the console, and went back and approved the updates again after making the setting change. I have a custom update view in WSUS for my test computer group that shows approved updates. Given that I approved the updates for that computer group, shouldn't they show there? Would they should immediately after approval? Also, as of yet, my test computer hasn't downloaded the updates although I've done a WUAUCLT /DETECTNOW. Any suggestions? Thank you.
