To address an issue with the Export of metadata on the WSUS server, we installed a hotfix from MS per article 2819484. Now the WPP console gives an error of "Server Version different from console version, you won't be able to publish any updates" when it is started. This happens with the latest WPP download. Is there a way to fix this?
Comments: Interesting. Can you start WPP, connect to the server, and go to 'Help' -> 'About' and give us the Server Version number and the Console Version number. Also, did you run WPP on the Wsus server or on an administrative computer ?
