I've setup a new WSUS server on Windows Server 2008 R2 with the latest Wsus Package Publisher (v1.3.1411.09).
Windows updates are installing fine on my test client (Win 8.1 Pro) but the deployment of Adobe Reader XI and Java 7 fails. The package keeps installing forever... I've deploymeny them with the documentation proveded on the site. I've installed the self signed certificate as well on the client,
I've installed the Windows update on 2008 R2 to become compatible with Windows 8.1 devices: KB2734608 / KB2720211.
I think the problem is relatied to certificate errors. Because we want to create a internet and we do not have a Certificate Authority setup, I am unable to create a code sign certificate template as descriped iin setp 1 of the Creating a Code Signing Certificate manual in the Documentation.
Can I use my wildcard certificate for this or workaround this issue without having a Certificate authority server?
