1) Create an update: Vendor: "testve", Product name: "testpr"
2) After publishing revise the update and change the Product name: "testpr2"
3) Now in the tree view the old product name "testpr" continues displayed but the delete button is disabled.

The bad news is that Wsus cannot delete this "Empty Product", and I don't know why. To make simple, Wsus manages itself "Products" and "Vendors". It create and deletes it as it need. Wsus delete products in certain conditions. So WPP ensures that these conditions are met, and let Wsus doing his job. I think that the tool to delete "Empty Product" works in 90% of cases. Sorry for the inconvenience. May be, I will discover all conditions to make deleting possible.
