I've searched the board and can't find anything that's similar to my issue other than a few posts saying WPP supports pushing updates to windows 10 client machines.
I'm running a test adobe reader v11.0.0 installed on a win7 and a win10 Pro machine. Im currently have a different issue on the win7 machine but at least I am able to see the update in the windows update panel. In windows 10 that panel no longer exists but both machines are in the same OU with same GPOs applied.
I can confirm via my WSUS console that the package is reporting as a needed update and is approved for install however running wuauclt.exe /detectnow on my windows 10 machine or clicking the check for updates box shows the system is already up to date and the program never installs.
In a post I came across someone seemed to suggest clients must be retrieving their updates from the WSUS server itself for things to work? Im not sure if this is correct or a requirement but we have different offices around the world and although our windows environment isn't huge, I've configured our WSUS server to be the update approver but client machines will retrieve the actual update files from MS update servers. Im not sure if this is what's causing the issue but seems unlinkely since my windows7 machine can see the update... Anyone have any suggestions?
