Closed Issue: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC MSP Update [311]

Bonjour,

Merci.

Closed Issue: Error when importing Update from DellSDPCatalog.cab [351]

Hi,

I have a problem publishing Dell updates from DellSDPCatalog.cab.
publishing from this catalog works as long as I use version WPP Release v1.3.1411.09 or older.
When I use a newer version, I get an error message "Error when importing update" as soon as I hit the [import selected updates] button in the "import from catalog" window.

I have seen this problem for a long time now, so i have been using the old version until now.
I would like to upgrade to the latest version of WPP, but how can i solve this issue?

Kind Regards,
Tom

I have 23gb of files associated with WPP in my profile. Specifically, they are in the C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Temp\WPP directory. C: is getting a little short on space. 4gb dates back to prior to 2016. Are all these files still in use by the system or can some be cleaned up? Is there an easy way to relocate these files to another drive?

On smaller screen sizes (such as an RDP session from within another RDP session) the bottom portion of the Update Approval box is off the screen. There's an extra step then of maximizing or carefully resizing its window. The window initially should fit the screen size.

In Update Approval view, you can't just click one of the dropdown arrows. You have to first select the row to make it active, then you can click the arrow.

Allow to launch Remote MSI Manager after selecting computers and right click on these computers.
Automatically add these computers to the search pane.

MSI and MSP files has their own return codes.

Closed Feature: Can we add a Refresh View button, like in WSUS console [237]

I'm wondering if it'd be possible to refresh a single view in WPP instead of reloading everything with the Connect/Reload button, so that it'd be quicker to see changes to tasks that are being worked on. (sometimes using both), and so that after a "refresh", you end up in the same view you were in before you pressed the "refresh" button, instead of at the top level like what happens now with the Connect/Reload button.

How Do i Run a Batch File Using WPP?

Seems in custom updates there are only two options: powershell and vbs. I'd rather not reinvent the wheel. I have a current batch script that customized a java install adding exception sites and adjusting security. Is there a way to use the existing batch file?

Thanks!

Comments: If the status is unknown, that means that computers have never contacted Wsus about this update. It may have a communication problem between clients computers and Wsus.

Last time i try to create a custom update, i can create a custom update with a batch.

You can write the exception sites in a file and publish the file with Group Policy Preferences to the clients. It is easier for me then creating a custom update.
